WHAT WE BELIEVE

Here you will find our statement of faith. If you have any other questions about our beliefs, feel free to contact us here.

1: The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and is of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

2: The Godhead

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; John 10:29-30; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Romans 8:9)

3: The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in:
  1. His eternal existence as God.
    (Hebrews 1:8; John 1:1)
  2. His incarnation by means of the virgin birth.
    (Luke 1:35; Matthew 1:18-23; Isaiah 7:14)
  3. His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin.
    (John 1:29; 1 Peter 2:24; 3:18; Isaiah 53:5)
  4. His literal bodily resurrection from the dead.
    (Luke 24:26-43; Acts 10:40-41)
  5. His ascension into heaven.
    (Luke 24:50-51; Acts 1:9-11)
  6. His present ministry of intercession in heaven.
    (Hebrews 7:25; 8:1-2; 1 John 2:1)
  7. His personal, premillennial return.
    (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Colossians 2:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

4: The Holy Spirit

We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit, and that His ministry is to reveal Christ to men in the regeneration and sanctification of their souls.
(John 14:16; 17:26; 15:26; 16:7-8, 13-15; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30)

5: Man

We believe that man was created by the direct act of God. He was created innocent and pure, but fell through the sin of disobedience thereby affecting the whole human race.
(Genesis 1-3; Romans 5)

6: Satan

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan.
(Job 1:6-9; Matthew 4:11; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-17)

7: Salvation

We believe that salvation is solely by grace through faith in the vicarious substitutionary atonement of Christ on the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who receive Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. All who are truly saved are kept forever.
(John 1:12-13; 3:3-7; 10:27-29; Romans 10:9-13; 1 Peter 1:3-5)

8: The Church

We believe:
  1. That the local church is composed of regenerated, baptized believers voluntarily united together for the purpose of worship, edification, fellowship, spiritual growth and service.
  2. That it has been commissioned by Christ to propagate the Gospel unto the uttermost parts of the earth.
  3. That the local church has absolute right of self-government, free from interference of any hierarchy of individuals  or organizations, and that the one and only head is Christ.

9: The Ordinances

We believe that Christ gave only two ordinances to the church to be observed “till He comes.”
  1.  The Lord’s Supper. This is a memorial of Christ’s death.
    (Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-40)
  2. Baptism. It is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, setting forth the essential facts in redemption – the death and resurrection of Christ. It also sets forth the essential facts in the experience of the believer; that is, death to sin and resurrection to newness of life.
    (Matthew 28:29; Romans 6:3-4)

10: The Priesthood of the Believer

We believe every Christian has the right to approach God directly through Christ without the aid of human priests.
(John 16:23-24; Hebrews 4:16)

11: Separation

We believe Christians should “abstain from all appearances of evil,” and live a life devoted unto the Lord.
(Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:22)

12: Missions

Because all men everywhere without Christ are lost and bound for eternal punishment, and because men cannot believe in Him of whom they have not heard, we believe that we are debtors to all men and have the responsibility of giving them the Gospel.

Jesus commanded us to be witnesses and proclaimers of the Gospel.

(Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:18-20; 10:14

We believe that to carry out this commission we must ourselves be witnesses by life and word. We must tell the lost about Christ. We must support by prayer and financial aid those who go out under sound fundamental missionary agencies to represent us in other parts of the world.

13: The Future

The spirits of the saved at death go immediately to be with Christ in heaven. When Christ returns, there will be a resurrection of the righteous dead, who will then appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ. The Lord will return to the earth with His saints to judge the nations and rule on earth for a thousand years. The spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into hell where they are kept under punishment. At the Great White Throne, their bodies and spirits will reunite. They will be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire.
 (Luke 16:19-31; 1 Corinthians 2:8-15; 15:35-58; 2 Corinthians 5:8-10; Philippians 1:21-23; 3:20-21; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 20:11-15)
